Day 44 – Faith in the Incarnate Son of God…
Answer: The Latin verb incarnate meant “to make flesh.” When we say that Jesus Christ is God “Incarnate,” we mean that the Son of God took on a fleshly, bodily form (John 1:14). However, when this happened in the womb of Mary, Jesus’ earthly mother, He did not stop being a deity. Although Jesus became fully human (Hebrews 2:17), He retained His status as God (John 1:1, 14). How Jesus is able to be both man and God simultaneously is one of the great mysteries of Christianity but is nevertheless a test of orthodoxy (1 John 4:2; 2 John 1:7). Jesus has two distinct natures, divine and human. “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me” (John 14:11). Day 43 – A Call to Persevere in Faith
Therefore, brothers, and sisters, since we have the confidence to
enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that
is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the
house of God, 22let us draw near to God with a sincere heart
and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to
cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure
water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love
and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in
the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the
Day approaching. 26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we
have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire
that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected
the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three
witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think someone
deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated
as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has
insulted the Spirit of grace? Verse 23
Affirmation –
As a Believer, my Father God sees what I am doing, and He will reward me for my
efforts because I profess who I am as a Child of God and I hold unswervingly to
the hope, because I Know that my Father God does what He promises, and He is Faithful!
Verses 24-25
Affirmation – As a Believer, my Father God blesses me because I
encourage my spiritual brothers and sisters. I believe by faith that Jesus
Christ will return, and as I see the Day approaching I pray and continue to
spur other believers on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting
together as the body of Christ.
Verses 26-29
Affirmation – As a Believer, my Father God bless me to stop
sinning because I have received the knowledge of the truth and I
accept the blood of the new covenant that is promised for my
sanctification and I honor the Spirit of grace.
Verses 30-31 Affirmation
–
As a Believer, my Father God blesses me
and the Lord God judges his people it is He who says, “It is mine to avenge; I
will repay.”
Verse 32
Affirmation – As a Believer, my Father God blesses me because I
acknowledge that it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living
God.
Verses 33-35
Affirmation – As a Believer, my Father God blesses me because I
have accepted Jesus Christ as the light,
and although I may endure great conflict full of suffering; may sometimes
become publicly exposed to insult and persecution; I will not lose confidence
because through my Father God I will be richly rewarded.
Verses 36-39
Affirmation –
As a Believer, my Father God blesses me
and I will persevere because I shall do all that I can to follow the will of
God, then I shall receive what he has promised because His holy Word says. “In
just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” So, I shall prevail and, “But my righteous
one [I will continue to] live by faith.” As a Believer, I will prevail because
my Father God’s Holy Word says, “And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks
back.” Yes! As a Believer, I will prevail
because I will not shrink back and be destroyed! I am a Believer and I have
faith and I shall be saved!
