Day 50 – Present Suffering and Future Glory…

Day 50 –
 Present Suffering
and Future Glory…
Children of God despite suffering during their lifetime in a physical body are promised exceptional things as they and all creation awaits the future glory of Father God; “…the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed” (Romans 8:19 More Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/romans/8-19.htm ).  As a Believer, the goal is to watch, pray, and persevere with faith in Father God’s ultimate plan for mankind.

Lesson 50:
Present Suffering,
Future Glory (Romans 8:18-25)
By Steven J. Cole
“…To persevere in present sufferings with hope, keep your eyes on the future glory that God has promised us… In our text, Paul wants us to understand two certainties and a practical conclusion that flows from them: First, the present time is marked by sufferings because of man’s fall into sin. Second, the future will be marked by glory for believers as God fulfills all His promises to us. The practical conclusion is, if we keep our eyes on the future promised glory, then we can endure present sufferings with perseverance and hope…”– Read More Commentary @ https://bible.org/seriespage/lesson-49-present-suffering-future-glory-romans-818-25

Present Suffering and Future Glory
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.  20For the
creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. 26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Suffering and Glory
By Tom Ascol
“One of the biblical promises that few people like to claim is one that the Lord Jesus Himself gave to His disciples the night He was betrayed. “In the world,” He said, “you will have tribulation” (John 16:33). Whether claimed or not that is one promise that will be inevitably kept for every person. All you have to do to see it fulfilled is to keep living. The Fall brought disorder into the world and with that comes inevitable hardship and suffering. “Man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7).
Christians are not exempt and, therefore, we should not be surprised when a “fiery trial” comes our way, thinking that something strange or unusual is happening to us (1 Peter 4:12). The Bible says a great deal about suffering and when its teaching is taken seriously believers will be equipped to face the inescapable pain that comes from living in a fallen world. Paul’s words in Romans 8:18 provide a redemptive perspective that helps prepare us to think rightly about and persevere confidently through the trials and hardships of life. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (Romans 8:18)… Glory and suffering are both integral to Christian discipleship. Recognizing this provides a solid foundation for standing firm through all the vicissitudes of life. By keeping both in view Paul cultivated a healthy emotional life that enabled him to be “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” at the same time (2 Corinthians 6:10)” …

Day 49 – A Joint Heir with Christ…

Day 49 – A Joint Heir
with Christ…

We are Father God’s Heirs
Along with Jesus Christ

12So, brothers and sisters, we have no obligation to live the way our corrupt nature wants us to live. 13If you live by your corrupt nature, you are going to die. But if you use your spiritual nature to put to death the evil activities of the body, you will live.  14Certainly, all who are guided by God's Spirit are God's children. 15You haven't received the spirit of slaves that leads you into fear again. Instead, you have received the spirit of God's adopted children by which we call out, "Abba! Father!" 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17If we are his children, we are also God's heirs. If we share in Christ's suffering in order to share his glory, we are heirs together with him. Romans 8 GWT @ http://biblehub.com/gwt/romans/8.htm More Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/romans/8-12.htm And at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/romans/8-14.htm

Question: "What is an Heir in the Bible?"
By Got Questions.org
Answer: The literal meaning of heir is “someone who has been appointed to receive an inheritance.” An heir is a person who receives something of value from a father (see Mark 12:7). The Bible sometimes uses the word heir to describe us as recipients of a gift from God (Galatians 4:7). We are “heirs” of God, and Christ is our “co-heir” (Romans 8:17)…” More Commentary @ http://www.gotquestions.org/heir-Bible.html

*Special Affirmation
As a Believer, I am a Joint Heirs along with Jesus Christ and my Father God bless me for using my spiritual nature to put to death the evil activities of my body. As a Believer, my Father God blesses me with the ability to live free of fear because I have the Gift of His Holy Spirit. My Father the Holy Spirit testifies with my spirit that I am a child of Father God and He is my Guide.

“[Romans] 8:10-17 - If the Spirit be in us, Christ is in us. He dwells in the heart by faith. Grace in the soul is its new nature; the soul is alive to God and has begun its holy happiness which shall endure forever. The righteousness of Christ imputed, secures the soul, the better part, from death. From hence we see how much it is our duty to walk, not after the flesh, but after the Spirit… Let us then, by the Spirit, endeavor more and more to mortify the flesh. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit brings a new and Divine life to the soul, though in a feeble state More Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/romans/8-14.htm

Our Advocate with Father God is Jesus Christ, the Righteous One
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. Question:  “How Should I
Understand the Concept of the Father God?”
By Got Questions.org
Answer: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him” (1 John 3:1). This passage begins with a command: “See.” John wants us to observe the manifestations of the Father's love. He has introduced the subject of God’s love in the preceding chapter (1 John 2:515), briefly discusses it here, and fully explains it in the fourth chapter. John’s purpose is to describe the kind of love the Father gives His children, “what great love.” The Greek word translated “what great” is found only six times in the New Testament and always implies astonishment and admiration…” More Commentary @  http://www.gotquestions.org/Father-God.html And  at the Variety of Commentaries for 1 John 3:1 located @ http://biblehub.com/1_john/3-1.htm And http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/3-1.htm @ Plus for1 John 2:5 @  http://biblehub.com/1_john/2-5.htm And at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/2.htm Finally for for1 John 2:15 @  http://biblehub.com/1_john/2-15.htm  and http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/2-15.htm

Day 48 – Concluding Affirmations...

Day 48 –
Concluding
Affirmations...

Part of accepting your life as a Believer includes accepting your spirituality. It also includes accepting the testimony of God and his ability to give our spiritual bodies another chance of living physically upon the new earth promised in Revelation 21:1-4. Apostle John said our Father God has given us a promise of eternal life, but we must believe it exists and accept it with confidence. “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:11-12 NIV- More Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/5.htm And in Revelation 21 @ http://biblehub.com/niv/revelation/21.htm

Concluding Affirmations
13I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of him. 16If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life.
I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. 17All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. 18We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. 19We know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 20We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5 NIV @ http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/5.htm   And at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/1_john/5-13.htm  Plus at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/5-13.htm

 *Special Affirmation
As a Believer, my Father God blesses me with eternal life after I repent and stops committing sins. My Father God blesses because I believe in the gift provided by the gift of salvation and he specifically blesses me for believing that it exists and for fully accepting it with confidence. My Father God sees that I have faith in Him and He will reward me for my faith and keep me safe. As a Believer, my Father God blesses me because I am His child so He honors the prayers that I offer for other Believers who have not committed a sin that leads to death, and He forgives them and also gives them life after they repent and also, accept the gift of salvation offered by Jesus Christ.

If We Ask, God Hears Us
by Steve Zeisler
“…There are two main ideas in the passage before us. One has to do with confidence in the presence of God. The other has to do with confidence, or being unthreatened, in the presence of the evil one. First John 5:13-21… Confidence in prayer - John's point is to strengthen those who believe so that they can live lives filled with confidence and vitality. He begins by talking about prayer, or a life lived in God's presence: “approaching God." John gives us a wonderful description of the life of prayer---prayer that is not entered into grudgingly, foolishly, or fearfully; prayer that we do not shy away from because we're unsure of whether we'll be heard...” Read John 5:13-21http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/5.htm   And at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/1_john/5-13.htm  Plus at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/5-13.htm

God Listens
by Kingdom World Ministries
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us (I John 5:14). Our biggest problem relates to what has been instilled into our belief system over the years. It has been impressed upon us that we are to come humbly before God to make our request know to him. And it has been impressed upon us that we are less than what we truly are, for we are not worthy to come before God for any reason. And it has been impressed upon us to relate to
God as the slave related to the slave owner in the days of slavery. You see the slave would beg for and then accept whatever crumbs fell from the master’s table. But we are here to tell you that because of the new covenant, you have a Father-to-child relationship and not a Master-to-slave (servant) relationship. And as a child of God, you already know modesty, humbleness, and respectfulness. And as a child of God, you do not have to beg to have your prayers heard or answered. As a child of God, you have a right to come boldly to the throne of God, stand there bravely in the presence of the Almighty, and find grace to help you in your times of need (Hebrews 4:14-16)…” More Commentary for John 5:14  @ http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/5.htm   And at the Variety of Commentaries located @ https://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/5.htm Plus at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/5-13.htm  And for Hebrews 4:14-16 @

Day 47 – Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers…

Day 47 –
Love and Hatred...

Lesson 16: Hatred or Love?
(1 John 3:11-18)
By Pastor Steven J. Cole
“…If we get weary of hearing over and over about the need to love one another, we should remember that John wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, who knows our hearts. We need to examine ourselves constantly because our default mode is to revert to selfishness, not to love. In our text, John again gets out his black and white paint and does not mix them into shades of gray. He wants to expose the errors of the heretics in the plainest of terms. So he contrasts the world with the church. His message is, the mark of the world is hatred, but the mark of the church is love. If loving others were only as easy as giving a hug to someone you don’t like, we all could excel in love. Just hug them and move on! But, love is a bit more difficult than that! It requires continual effort, because at the heart of loving others is putting the other person ahead of yourself, and that is always a huge battle. For this reason, the New Testament as a whole and the apostle John in this letter never tire of exhorting us to love one another.” Complete Commentary @ https://bible.org/seriespage/lesson-16-hatred-or-love-1-john-311-18

Love and Hatred for Fellow Believer
3We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in
them. This is how we know we are in him: 6Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 7Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. 9Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. 10Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them. 1 John 2 NIV @ http://biblehub.com/niv/1_john/2.htm  and at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/1_john/2-3.htm   plus at the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/1_john/2-3.htm

*Special Affirmation –
As a Believer, my Father God blesses me for accepting his commandment for loving my spiritual brothers and sisters.  As a Believer, my Father God expects me to love not to hate and he sees what I am doing, and He has rewarded me for my efforts of living in the light blessing and loving all his children.

Question: "What does the Bible say about Hate?"
Answer:
Biblically speaking, there are positive and negative aspects of hatred. It is acceptable to hate those things that God hates; indeed, this is very much proof of right standing with God. “Let those who love the Lord hate evil” (Psalm 97:10a). Indeed, the closer our walk with the Lord and the more we fellowship with Him, the more conscious we will be of sin, both within and without. Do we not grieve and burn with anger when God’s name is maligned when we see spiritual hypocrisy when we see blatant unbelief and godless behavior? The more we understand God’s attributes and love His character, the more we will be like Him, and the more we will hate those things that are contrary to His Word and nature. However, the hatred that is negative surely has to be that which is directed against others. The Lord mentions hatred in the Sermon on the Mount: “But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment” (Matthew 5:22). The Lord commands that not only should we be reconciled with our brother before we go before the Lord, but also that we do it quickly (Matthew 5:23-26).  Complete Passage by Got Questions.org@ http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-hate.html

Question: "What is the Sermon on the Mount?"
Answer: The Sermon on the Mount is the sermon that Jesus gave in Matthew chapters 5-7. Matthew 5:1-2 is the reason it is known as the Sermon on the Mount: "Now when He saw the crowds, He went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and He began to teach them..." The Sermon on the Mount is the most famous sermon Jesus ever gave, perhaps the most famous sermon ever given by anyone…”” Complete Passage by Got Questions.org @ http://www.gotquestions.org/sermon-on-the-mount.html
