Day 37 – The Lord is My Shepherd, I Lack Nothing…

Day 37 – The Lord is My Shepherd, I Lack Nothing…

“…The comfort of Psalm 23 is not in what Jehovah gives but in Himself. He does it is the natural fruit of His grace at all times and will be the result make us lie down in green pastures, and lead us beside the waters of peace: pleasant food where there can be no drought, security in enjoying it, and guidance in divine refreshing in peace. Such is the portion given by His shepherd care, but still, it is Himself as that which gives confidence and takes away care… The Good Shepherd (and Christ is such for us) restores the soul, and leads us in paths of righteousness for His name's sake”…More Commentary from Darby @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/darby/psalms/23.htm

Psalm 23 –
A Psalm of David
1The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4Even though I walk through the darkest valley,a  I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. *Special Affirmation As a Believer, my Father God blesses me daily with my needs and many of my desires. As My Father and Lord God as well as my Personal Shepherd, I am blessed and I Do Not Lack anything that I need. My Father God blesses me to rest in peace and with a quiet soul in my place of rest. My Father God is my Guide, and He directs my path for His own glory because I am His Namesake. As a Believer, I do not live in fear because my Father God’s Holy Spirit comforts me and daily He prepares a table for me. As a Believer my Father God anoints my head with oil; my cup overflows with goodness and love and it follows me daily.  As a Believer I choose to dwell in the presence of my Father and Lord God, My Personal Shepherd daily and forever.

A Psalm of David.
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
“The Lord is my shepherd - There are two allegories in this Psalm which are admirably well adapted to the purpose for which they are produced, and supported both with art and elegance. The first is that of a shepherd; the second, that of a great feast, set out by a host the most kind and the most liberal. As a flock, they have the most excellent pasture; as guests, they have the most nutritive and abundant fare. God condescends to call himself the Shepherd of his people, and his followers are considered as a flock under his guidance and direction…” More of Clarke’s Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/commentaries/clarke/psalms/23.htm

Day 36 – Jesus Prayed for Himself, His Disciples and All Believers…

Day 36 – Jesus Prayed for Himself, His Disciples, and All Believers…

“Believers and followers of GOD have access to that power and knowing (knowledge). A believer and follower should be worry-free. What is the point of worrying? GOD has a plan already, all we have to do is follow His directions, and we will be free from worrying about all the negativity in the world. JESUS prayed for us before He was crucified at Calvary. He prayed for Himself, His Disciples, and Future Believers. There is no reason for anyone professing to be CHRIST like (**Christian) to be living painful and negative lives. We have been blessed with everything that we need to be successful whether we are rich or poor (financially challenged); in good health or have an illness; employed or unemployed; etc., etc., etc. In GOD and JESUS CHRISTS’ eyes, we are all created equally sinful and in need of GOD’S gift of JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit to survive in the world’s daily turmoil of daily living. Praise GOD!”

Jesus Prays to Be Glorified
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.  4I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6“I have revealed youa to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power ofb your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe byc that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. 13“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17Sanctify them byd the truth; your word is truth.18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26I have made youe known to them and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them. John 17 NIV @ http://biblehub.com/niv/john/17.htm

Ask, Seek, Knock: God’s Formula for Persistent Faith
By Jennifer LeClaire
“If faith without works is dead, then asking without seeking and knocking is just as lifeless. There are many reasons why you may not be receiving prayer answers, from doubt in your heart (see Rom. 10: 9) to asking with wrong motives (see James 4: 3) to unconfessed sin (see Is. 59: 1-2) to unforgiveness (see Mark 11: 25) to strife on the home front (see 1 Pet. 3: 7) to turning away from Scripture (see Prov. 28: 9). But you can believe purely, ask with right motives, have a clean heart, forgive all your enemies, avoid arguments and soak in the Word all day and still not see prayer answers. That’s because asking—without seeking and knocking—flows from the same lazy river as faith without works…” More Commentary @ http://www.charismamag.com/blogs/the-plumb-line/17225-ask-seek-knock-god-s-formula-for-persistent-faith  And for Other Scriptures Click the links which go to http://biblehub.com/

Prayer Secret #5:  Ask – Seek
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened …!”  Matthew 7:7-8
“…Notice two things:
1.  First, there are three specific conditions that the Lord is laying out – asking, seeking, and knocking.
2.  Second, all three of these conditions are listed in one sentence. These three conditions are being separated by semi-colons, not periods. This means that all three of these conditions are being purposely put together in one sentence in order to try and tell us something...” More Commentary @ http://www.bible-knowledge.com/ask-seek-knock/  And Matthew 7:7-8 @ http://biblehub.com/kj2000/matthew/7.htm

Day 16 – Life through the Spirit

Day 16 –
Life through the Spirit

Question:
"What does it mean that
there is no condemnation
 in Christ (Romans 8:1)?"

Answer: “No condemnation” can be defined in courtroom language. To have “no condemnation” declared means to be found innocent of the accusation, to have no sentence inflicted and no guilty verdict found. By the grace of God, believers in Jesus Christ will not face the condemnation of God. “We have passed from death to life” (1 John 3:14). More Commentary @ http://www.gotquestions.org/no-condemnation.html More Commentary on 1 John 3:14 @ http://biblehub.com/1_john/3-14.htm

Scriptural Basis for Life through the Spirit”
Romans 8:1-17 NIV
Life through the Spirit
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,  God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.  And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.  8Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. 9You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life  because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of   his Spirit who lives in you. 12Therefore, brothers, and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. 14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.  15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son ship.  And by him we cry, “Abba,  Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Affirmations for Spiritual Blessings
Verses 1-4 Affirmation – As a Believer, I am free from condemnation via Jesus Christ’s Gift of Salvation because what the law was powerless to do God sent His Holy Son to do. Now Father God has forgiven me and by accepting the gift of salvation and remaining obedient I am set me free from the law of sin and death. My Father God has also given me a mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace with His Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Verses 5-8 Affirmation As a Believer, My Father continually blesses me because I have a mind set on what the My Comforter the Holy Spirit desires rather than what my flesh desires. My Father God blesses me because He is pleased with me because I possess His Spirit and I live and work within the realm of the Spirit,
Verses 9-14 Affirmation As a Believer, My Father God blesses because I belong to Christ, and I have the Spirit of Christ, and ultimately because of Christ’s Spirit I shall continually receive life in this mortal body because as a Child of God with the Gift of the Holy Spirit I am led by the Spirit of God.
Verses 15-17 Affirmation As a Believer, My Father God continually blesses me and has removed me from being a slave to fear and death.  His Gift of the Holy Spirit has made me one of his heir and also a co-heir with Christ; and although I will suffer as Christ suffered I will also share in Christ’s Future Glory after the Final Judgment.

"Personally, I’ve come to Romans 8 again and again when I’ve been discouraged or depressed.
I don’t see how you can read Romans 8 and remain down. If you struggle with guilt, read Romans 8. If you struggle with sin, read Romans 8. If you’re going through trials, read Romans 8.
If you don’t know how to pray, read Romans 8. If you’re struggling with assurance of your salvation, read Romans 8. Interestingly, while the flavor of Romans 8 is the exhortation,
there is not a single command in the chapter…"  More Commentary @ https://bible.org/seriespage/lesson-42-set-free-romans-81-4  More Commentary @ http://biblehub.com/niv/romans/8.htm   And the Variety of Commentaries located @ http://biblehub.com/romans/8-1.htm
