Day 17 –
Hold Firmly
to the Faith
Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrews “…since we have a great high priest who has
ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we
profess” Hebrews 4:14 NIV. Faith is
one of the most important factors in establishing a belief in God’s Special
Gift of Salvation from Jesus Christ. For our specific salvation purposes, Jesus Christ
is a priest, and a high priest who came to bring into fruition the New
Covenant which erased the Old Covenant of blood sacrifice. Jesus Christ went to
the cross as the Ultimate Blood Sacrifice; “When Jesus had cried out again in a
loud voice, He yielded up His spirit. At that moment the veil of the temple was
torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.” The
ripping of the veil of the temple is symbolic of Our New Mercy Covenant from God Our Father. “The
rending of the veil signified that Christ, by his death, opened a way to God.
We have an open way through Christ to the throne of grace, or mercy-seat now,
and to the throne of glory hereafter. More

Affirmation – As a Believer, my
Father God has blessed me with the Gift of Salvation and all I have to do is
accept and profess acceptance of the gift. As a Believer who lives daily within this
physical body, I must continually hold firmly to the faith, because Jesus Christ
has already paid the price and is currently ascended into heaven as The Greatest High Priest, and The Greatest Blood Sacrifice. My Father God sees what
I am doing, and He will reward me for my efforts.
